How incredible to see the people of Australia unite to join voices and stand up for our precious Brumbies.
I have been sending my thoughts and good energy to you all from across the sea. I hope that the ripples from this nationwide rally, and all combined efforts from every advocate, every day, will start to make tidal waves soon.
The Brumbies are embedded within our culture. They are the embodiment of resilience and the endlessly shifting form of nature.
Lately, I have seen a lot of people shift from agreeing that horses are "feral" (because that's what they're told, and is the label that makes people stop caring about animal welfare), to learning what is really happening, how little impact horses have (when not combined with statistics spread over countless other species) and what the government is really up to, and so, changing their perception with the realisation that Brumbies are not the problem, and certainly not the real threat to native wildlife and the ecosystems of the national parks.. we can look at our own species for the answer to that.
There are a lot of shifts happening. I've seen it. Don't stop the conversations, don't stifle your passion. You are doing amazing things and I will back you, always.
