If you've ever been told to do something with your horse that just didn't feel right,

or followed advice, but deep down, something about it didn't sit comfortably with you,

you are not alone.

I've been there.

We all begin our journey's with horses because we love them, but we can find ourselves being taught to focus more on what they're doing wrong than what they're doing right. Told to "be the boss", to be dominant and demand 'respect', rather than learning how to build a genuine partnership.

When things are going wrong, we can run into feelings of frustration, disconnection, fear or hopelessness.

But there is a way to work with your horse to achieve your goals without compromising what you feel is right.

Positive reinforcement is so much more than a training method.

As you begin to understand Positive Reinforcement and learn how to use it with your own horse, you will start to notice changes that go far beyond the behaviours you're teaching. You will begin to see your horse differently, understand why they do the things they do, and start approaching challenges in ways you might never have considered before.

Instead of focusing on what your horse is doing wrong, you'll start looking for what they're doing right. Behaviours that might once have been frustrating become opportunities to ask questions, find solutions and better understand what your horse is trying to tell you.

Along the journey, you will find that these lessons don't stop with our horses. They begin to influence how we communicate with others, how we respond to challenges and how we see the world around us.

What begins as a search for a kinder way of training can become an entirely different way of thinking, with the potential to change not only your relationship with you horse, but could change your life.

Just as it has changed mine.

If you're looking for a kinder way to approach training challenges, develop a stronger connection with your horse, or interested in taking your horsemanship further, both on the ground and in the saddle,

This library will give you the knowledge and confidence to explore what's possible with Positive Reinforcement.

If you've ever had the feeling that there must be another way,   I want you to know that there is.

I think the best way to understand what's possible with this approach is to see it for yourself.

Every horse in the following video compilation was started and trained by Free Rein Horsemanship using Positive Reinforcement and connection-based horsemanship.
